About the Program
The Yellow Ribbon Internship Program is a structured, observational internship designed for students from Class 6 onwards. This initiative offers a unique opportunity to shadow leading oncologists and healthcare professionals, experiencing firsthand the intersection of medicine, oncology, and cutting-edge technology. Under the mentorship of Dr. Pramod Chinder, one of India's leading orthopedic oncologists, interns will gain insights into real-world healthcare environments.
Objectives
This internship is designed to:
✔ Provide early exposure to clinical environments.
✔ Introduce students to medical oncology, robotics, AI, and 3D printing.
✔ Foster scientific thinking and curiosity.
✔ Encourage structured reflection and communication through writing.
Learning Locations
Interns will shadow professionals at the following locations:
🏥 HCG Cancer Hospital, Bengaluru – Exposure to clinical oncology and real-world medical scenarios.
🏥 The Yellow Ribbon Sarcoma Centre, Jayanagar – Experience sarcoma care, technological integration, and patient-centered approaches.
Eligibility
✅ Open to students from Class 6 and above.
✅ Should have an interest in healthcare, science, or innovation.
✅ Must demonstrate maturity and commitment to ethical guidelines.
Internship Structure
📌 Type: Observational Shadowing (Non-paid).
📌 Mentorship: Guided mentorship by Dr. Pramod Chinder and the Yellow Ribbon team.
📌 Duration: Flexible (Interns must specify preferred duration: e.g., 2 weeks, 1 month).
📌 Daily Hours: Interns must indicate their daily availability.
📌 Engagement: Strictly observational – no patient interaction or clinical decision-making.
📌 Final Requirement: Mandatory submission of a blog post or scientific article summarizing learning experiences.

Code of Conduct
✔ Maintain professionalism and discipline at all times.
✔ No direct patient interaction – observation only.
✔ No photography or recordings allowed inside hospital premises.
✔ Strict confidentiality and privacy rules must be followed.
Certification
Upon successful completion, interns will receive an official Certificate of Completion after submitting their mandatory project article or blog.
Internship Fee
💰 A program contribution of ₹5,000 per month is applicable. This fee includes:
✅ Administrative support and mentorship.
✅ Access to real clinical environments for shadowing.
✅ Guidance for the mandatory article/blog project.
✅ Certificate of Completion upon fulfilling program requirements.
